| Living Room Packing |
| We have a few tips on packing up your living room ready for your move. |
| 1 - Electronics |
| When moving electronics, such as TVs, computers, and routers, it is essential these are carefully packed to prevent breakages by using materials such as bubble wrap, towels or blankets. It is a good idea to remove any temperature sensitive items in electronics before you move. Also, for any computers or laptops we would advise for you to back up your important files beforehand. |
| 2. Rugs |
| We advise that you clean your rugs thoroughly before your move, then roll up the rug and tie it up with string. Do not wrap up the rug up in plastic as this creates a breeding ground for mould to grow but instead wrap it up in sheets of paper that can then be taped closed. |

| 3. Furniture |
| If your furniture can be dismantled it can make it far easier to transport. When packing the furniture, you should use blankets or sheets as protection then tape around the sheets in order to firmly secure. If you have chair cushions or seat covers then pack these separately. |
| 4. Picture Frames & Mirrors |
| Before packing frames make sure to tape an ‘X’ onto the glass to prevent the glass from breaking during transit. You can also use corner protectors on the mirrors or frames to protect from damage. When wrapping the mirrors, start by placing a cardboard over the glass before wrapping in blankets or towels. Also, make sure to mark it to say no stacking and to keep upright. |
